About Cantech Energy
Since 2010, our energy engineering and master black belt staff have successfully applied the energy system engineering approach and Lean-Six Sigma methodology to reduce the energy usage of complex manufacturing and transactional processes.
We have also demonstrated that the energy efficiency and productivity improvements are proven investments for manufacturers. They decrease their costs, improve product quality, reduce energy pricing risks, engage their employees, reduce their carbon footprint and demonstrate responsible business practices.

About the Founder
CanTech Energy was founded by Dr. Majid Ahmadi. He has over twenty-five years of experience in the energy field. He has extensive experience with Utility Energy Efficiency (EE), Demand-Side Management (DSM) and Distributed Generation (DG) programs. He has been involved in commercial & industrial energy efficiency incentive program and distributed generation design and implementation within GE Energy, Capstone Turbine Inc., Lockheed Martin Energy Services and Alternative Energy Systems Consulting (AESC) Inc.
Dr. Ahmadi has extensive experience in performing comprehensive energy assessments, reviews and CFD simulation for the utilities’ energy efficiency programs and specializes in monitoring and verification (M&V) of energy efficiency measures. He has identified, managed and delivered energy savings projects for various commercial and industrial manufacturing clients. His unique experience in energy savings through process improvement and optimization has helped several commercial, retail services and industrial clients (electric and natural gas users) to improve their overall energy efficiency.
Dr. Ahmadi has a proven track record of accomplishment in both entrepreneurial and established companies in continuous improvement initiatives, business strategy, leading and developing successful teams and, measuring and improving the customer experience.
Dr. Ahmadi holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Registered Professional Engineer, ISO Lead Auditor and holder of several US patents in energy field.

2013
Cantech Energy expands into the packaging industry by creating Cantech Plastics, and applying their knowledge of energy efficiency through process improvement to thermoforming. Cantech Industries is created as the parent company.

2012
After spotting an inefficiency in the energy monitoring and alerting market, Cantech drafts a plan to bring a new product to market that analyzes and reports energy consumption using proprietary statistics and energy intensity. Much of 2012 is spent developing the tool.

2011
After a strong year of growth, Cantech Energy finds a significant need for software engineering in the energy industry, based on improving business processes, and using lean development to deliver higher value software at a lower cost.

Dr. Majid Ahmadi founds Cantech Energy to test his theory that there is a strong market for saving energy and money through process improvement.
