CanTech Energy a subsidiary of CanTech Industries is currently seeking a Sales Rep/Account Manager based in San Diego, CA with a proven track record of sales success. The individual we seek is a sales professional who is highly motivated, a self-starter, and who wants to have a significant impact on the success of a new unique energy efficiency software product. A solid understanding of energy efficiency programs within California Utilities, and the manufacturing industry, is very highly desired.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute day to day sales processes, and create actionable plans.
  • Initiate sales calls and meetings with manufacturing businesses in the Western region of the US.
  • Coordinate account meetings, and provide sales support to existing accounts
  • Help CanTech Energy achieve quarterly and annual business development objectives
  • Provide executive management with account updates, sales forecasts, etc.
  • Develop and maintain contacts at assigned accounts

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years demonstrated success in direct sales of software solutions.
  • Preferably three years of experience selling the Energy Efficiency products to the Manufacturing industry.
  • Experience creating and leading sales campaigns and posters for the trade shows
  • Proficient at establishing and cultivating "C" level consultative relationships.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Personal computer literacy.
  • A University degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent).
  • Self-discipline and motivation to produce results with limited supervision.
  • Additional consideration for candidates with:
    • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering technical degree
    • Both Energy and Manufacturing industry knowledge and experience
  • Up to 80% travel required (domestic, mostly Western US)
  • Must reside in the Southern California area, and be willing to meet as needed in Escondido, CA

Required experience:

  • Direct sales of software solutions preferably in energy field: 5 years

Required education:

  • Bachelor's
